Medical Insurance
DPR Construction, Inc. offers you four medical plan options: the Cigna Network plan, the Cigna Point of Service plan, the Cigna Open Access Plus plan, and the Kaiser Permanente plan (CA employees only).
Cigna - Network (HMO) Plan
The Network plan is designed to meet all of your health care needs within its provider network. In the HMO plan you pick a primary care physician who manages all of your health care needs. When you need medical care, all referrals and services must be authorized by your primary care physician.
Cigna - Point of Service (POS) Plan
The POS plan gives you the choice to use your health care both in-network and out-of network. For in-network benefits, you pick a primary care physician who manages all of your health care needs. When you need medical care, all referrals and services must be authorized by your primary care physician. On this plan you also have the option to use out-of-network benefits. For care not provided by your primary care physician or referred by your primary care physician, you pay a higher out-of-pocket amount after you satisfy an annual deductible.
Cigna - Open Access Plus (OAP) Plan
The Open Access Plus Plan uses a nationwide network of providers and hospitals called Open Access Plus Providers. This plan offers you medical care from the provider of your choice. You maintain complete freedom of choice each time you seek medical care: (1) you choose a Network Open Access Plus provider or (2) you choose a non-network provider (a doctor who is outside of the OAP network). When you use network providers, your claims will be paid at a higher percentage. If you choose providers outside of the network, your claims will be paid at the out-of-network level. There is an annual deductible that must be met.
Kaiser Permanente
The Kaiser plan is a traditional HMO plan available for California-based employees only. On this plan you can access all Kaiser physicians; some specialists you can self refer, while others require a referral from your plan physician.
Dental Insurance
DPR Construction, Inc. offers you dental insurance coverage through Cigna. The Cigna dental PPO plan allows employees to select their dental provider at time of service; however, using a contracted provider will provide a better benefit. This benefit also provides orthodontia coverage for adults and children. Maximums apply.
Vision Insurance
Vision coverage is provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP). Vision coverage allows employees to receive eye exams, glasses and non-disposable contact lenses at low co-payments or discounts. Employees are not required to visit a participating doctor for benefits; however, using a non-VSP provider will affect the level of benefit received.
Chiropractic & Acupuncture Insurance
Chiropractic benefits are provided by American Specialty Health (ASH) to employees. This benefit requires the use of the ASH network of chiropractors. The benefit covers office visits with a co-payment required.
Life Insurance and AD&D Coverage
DPR Construction, Inc. provides employees with a Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance benefit administered by Standard Insurance. The basic life benefit ranges from 1.5 to 3 times your annual salary, with a maximum benefit of $450,000, based on years of service with DPR. In addition, employees may elect optional life insurance benefits up to 4 times their annual salary with a maximum benefit of $750,000 for employees and up to $100,000 for spouses and domestic partners. A flat $10,000 benefit can be elected for each child.
Disability
Short-Term Disability
An employee who becomes disabled due to pregnancy, injury or illness, may be eligible for up to six weeks of paid short-term disability. This benefit is provided with receipt of medical certification and determination of a qualified disability. California employees are required to file for California state disability to subsidize the DPR-paid disability benefit.
Long-Term Disability
DPR provides employees with Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage equal to 60% of your base earnings, with a maximum monthly benefit of $12,000. LTD benefits begin after a 90-day elimination period.
Employee Assistance Program
Dealing with the pressures of everyday life (family, relationships, work, and finances) can sometimes require professional assistance. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with Horizon Health provides a resource for DPR employees and their families to improve and maintain their physical and emotional well-being through professional counseling.
Health Advocate
Health Advocate is a valuable resource available to DPR employees to assist with health insurance issues, whether it is a billing problem or locating a provider. Health Advocate will be your personal advocate to assist you with navigating through all your health insurance needs.
Adoption Assistance
Because adopting a child usually requires a significant amount of time and money, DPR offers an adoption assistance benefit. This program provides financial reimbursement up to a maximum of $5,000 per child.
Educational Assistance
DPR's Educational Assistance provides financial support to employees who want to further their education and enhance their skills. Reimbursement of up to $5,000 per calendar year is available to cover tuition costs (including books), and professional license fees. To be eligible, employees must work for DPR a minimum of one year. In order to receive reimbursement, the courses or training taken must be completed and must be in a field related to your work at DPR.
Employee Referral Program
DPR is always looking to hire great people. So as an incentive to bring new employees to DPR, the DPR Search Program will award employees who refer a friend or relative for a current job opening. The placement awards start at $5000 and go up to $20,000.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
DPR employees are offered the opportunity to enroll in the flexible spending accounts for dependent care and health care expenses. Flexible spending accounts are tax-free accounts that can be set up for a calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care and/or health care expenses. These plans are exempt from state and federal taxes.
401(k) Salary Deferral Plan
DPR employees are eligible to participate in the DPR Construction 401(k) Plan administered by Vanguard. DPR will match $.50 on each dollar contributed for up to the first 6% of the employee’s salary. All contributions are vested immediately. Employees who are over the age of 50 are eligible to participate in the catch-up contribution, which increases the annual deferral limit for those who qualify.
529 College Savings Plan
The 529 College Savings Plan is available to set aside money for higher education costs. This account can be set up for yourself or any designated beneficiary.
Legal Plan
The Hyatt Legal Plan provides a voluntary legal benefit available for DPR employees. This plan can be used for various types of legal advice on such matters as estate planning, consumer protection and family law.
Phantom Stock
The Phantom Stock program allows employees to share in the financial performance of DPR. Phantom stock vests 20% each year over a five-year vesting period and is compounded with the annual equity increase based on the profitability of DPR. Returns from employee Phantom Stock have averaged more than 10% over the last five years. Once Phantom Stock is fully vested, employees will receive a payout of the entire vested amount plus the compounded equity.
Personal Time Off (PTO)
All full-time employees accrue PTO annually. PTO can be used for any personal time off from work including sick and vacation days. Accrual for the first five years of employment is three weeks per year (15 days) and increases to four weeks (20 days) following five full years of employment. Additionally employees receive 10 bonus PTO days after each five full years of employment.
Holidays & Holiday Shutdown
DPR provides 10 paid holidays per year. In addition, DPR offices and the majority of jobsites close down annually for the time period between Christmas and the New Year. This time off is a combination of holiday pay and Personal Time off.
Pet, Auto and Home Insurance
Pet Insurance is available to DPR employees through Veterinary Pet Insurance. Pet Insurance covers thousands of medical problems and conditions.
Various homeowner and auto insurance programs are offered to DPR employees. MetLife offers these policies at discounted rates to DPR employees.
Staying Fit
DPR supports the good health of its employees by subsidizing fitness memberships and other health-enhancing activities.
